O.K. I'm in a good mood today:
1. Please fill out your profile as Quiclocks suggested
2. On the side of the door without the knob, is there a keyhole, or nothing but the regular door knob?
I'm guessing if the answer to number 2 is no, then you have a lock that is attached to the door and slides into a housing attached to the jamb. As this lock has no key, just a knob it can't be picked. You could possible bypass it with a piece of plastic or even a butter knife in which you slowly work the bolt back keeping some pressure on the door so the bolt doesn't slide back.
-hope this helps
