Geez. If you're gonna break out the lance, you might as well just get it done with and cut a human shaped hole in the door.

No embarrassment!

For a $4 bicycle lock... Don't even bother trying! Immediately come the boltcutters and I'd simply cut it off. As a courtesy (and part of the fee) simply hand the customer a new lock from the pegboard. ...after all... time is money and even if you could open it quickly, it'd still need a key cut for it. And when they see how easily the cutters went through their old lock, they'll appreciate the new one.
