KeSet 64

looking at a Keset System 64 lock with the multiple-changes. What's the easiest way to compromise this thing? Looks like an ordinary barrel lock to me.


Can somebody give me a quick skinny on if this is easy or tough?

you may find it a little extra challenging, but

This is the reason why all the people who have the
knowledge of that lock haven't bothered to answer
and you are stuck getting advice from me, who has
never heard of this lock before.

So, go fill out your profile, and by the time you have finished
introducing yourself in the appropriate thread, you will possibly
have an answer from someone more knowledgable than me,
that isn't: "Well, where do you live? How long have you been picking?"

Here's the deal: I'm looking for anyone who has had a go at the Keset System 64 lock. Tubular, with keycode changeability within the lock. If anybody could share any experience, I'd be grateful. What I'm wondering is, if this lock is as easy to pick or compromise as most tubular locks... including its manufacturer, National. I work for a High-Security lock mfr. and we are seeing some of this Keset in the field-- targeted at customers who need high-security applications.

Well, if it's a high security lock then bypass methods are not discussed in the open forums, if you scroll down to the advanced lock section you would see that.

It looks very much like a hardened barrell lock to me, despite claims that the internal working are entirely different. Throw in a few spool and ZAZ! you have an entirely different system....

A. It's not a high-security lock. Keys are duplicable, not patented. But it's being installed in some high-security applications... and it should not be.

B. I never asked for a method to defeat it. That's why the message was not placed in the advanced section.

If it's too much trouble to get one single reply from somebody familiar with the lock, then perhaps I should. Imagine... I thought there were some pros here who might be able to help. Instead, I get Message Board etiquette lessons and threats of being flamed. Sorry, I've got no desire to be part of your little club. I'm just here looking for information about locks.
