I just recently purchased this 8pc Majestic Pick Set

http://unlockables.com/pd_8_pc.cfm

and was wondering if this was a good set to start off with, and if so, what else I should add, or what other pick set should I buy if this was not a suitable choice?

The Peterson "Just Picks" set with rubber handles. You can still get them for a reduced price at lockpicks.com

I don't even have to look, 8 pieces is just about right.
