Is a rig necessary for plate or should I just practice a steady hand? Are they worth the money or should I make my own?

you are going to need some type of leverage device man
you may not need it every time but when you do need it thewre is no substitute

I'm looking at the Magnum Bullet right now, it seems like a good rig for the money. What would you suggest?

What if the safe wasn't made out of magnetic metals

(a platinum safe would own all, because it has a very high melting temperature, so you'd need more thermic lances)

A platinum safe would be worth more than it's contents.

Well that and the fact platinum is very malleable and ductile.

Oh and theres a regeant that will flat out disolve it. :)

No, only one thermic lance would do. The approx. temperature that the tip of a thermic reaches is 5538°C. Platinum melts at 1768.3 °C.

For drill resistance, booby trap, or method of attack? Sounds dangerous would be my answer to all of the above.

Anyway, I'm thinking of having a go at making a drilling rig if for no other reason than it would stick out like a sore thumb against my other tools if I bought it. Thanks for the help.

Simple - it would incinerate the contents - kind of defeats the object a tad ....
