New Toys from SnowyBoy!!!

Postby GWiens2001 » 13 Feb 2013 23:57

Just received some cutaways made by our illustrious SnowyBoy. The man is just plain incredible!
First, a Mul-T-Lock Classic euro profile:

Next, a Medeco Biaxial euro profile:

OK, yeah, I was holding the lock upside down, but that was not SnowyBoy's fault, I promise!

From the top

with key inserted

and with key partly turned

and turned to 1/4 position, showing sidebar fingers entering pins
Image

And a couple of TuBar locks. The first is a cam lock, only partly functional so that it shows more internals hidden by more external parts, and then a vending lock that is fully functional. This is a very compact lock, very hard to show everything on one lock. I tip my hat to SnowyBoy for his incredible work on these difficult locks!

This shot shows one of the two sidebars. Yes, the TuBar has two sidebars, hence the name. Each sidebar interacts with four pins.

And the vending lock:
They both look pretty much the same from the front

And some gut shots of some loose parts... the plug, the two parts of the sidebar, the pins, springs, and so forth.

Thank you for your work, SnowyBoy, and to the rest of you for putting up with my numerous pictures!

Now that's serious lock porn!

The medeco is just simply awesome. What a work of art!!

Just the pics you've posted have got me hooked. From previously experience I'd say that it won't be long for my ol' wallet to open now that I've seen it.

this addiction

Such craftmanship is truly rare.
Hats off to you Snowy, and thank you.
