Nice!

1 euro cylinder and a lever lock to open it right?
Go ahead, keep plugging away, picking on me! You will end up on bypass or with rigor mortise.

Yeah that's really cool!
Thanks kerti, very nice lock again!
This too is very similar to a Mottura model. I'm not sure which one was first, but it doesn't matter either.
But that rotor part is really cool and unique!

Are lever lock that common in Russia or is it just that you post about the most interesting stuff?

Do you have to first unlock the cylinder to be able to open the lever part?

Yes, Mottura and Cisa locks are very popular in Russia. This lock is similar to Italian double system locks. But changable mechanism is original invention Gurdian company( I belive it is true)

Yes,lever locks are common in Russia. Heavy lever locks are very popular because there are so many armored doors in flats and houses.

No, cylynder side is independent from lever side. Two independent locks in a case.

Gurdian company( I belive it is true)
-->I agree! I have never seen anything like that before. It looks really clever.
It looks really secure, but can't you easily drill out the screw holding the rotor?
Don't say any details if if can be drilled, that will lead to the thread locked :S , just say you think yes or you think no :)
I mottura makes them dependent on each other. Not sure which way is better though...
The Guardian way is more flexible, but I think the mottura way is more secure.
Anyway that rotor thing is really clever.

I like mottura locks I think they offer very good security and very good quality too. But they are very expensive here.
Well they also have a lot more material in them than a simple cylinder...

Heavy lever locks are very popular because there are so many armored doors in flats and houses.

Are there many robberies?

It looks really secure,................holding the rotor?

There are THREE screws. Needs ....three times and know very precise dimentions :D So I think it is secure in compare with classic lever lock design.

OMG. Those are massive. Man, I have never seen anything like that here...

Do criminals still break in through those doors?
Man, those look really secure...
I would think criminals don't mess with doors like that...

3screws? That's much better. I thought there is only 1 screw.
That really looks like a good lock.
I almost wish I had one, but I am sooo happy we don't need that kind of high securty here. At lest people like me don't need such armoured doors.

Relativly, not so many. Russian tradition to use armored doors(and for armored steel doors needs heavy lock with large bolts) everywhere comes from end of USSR period(about 1990...) In the USSR, people use the simple, cheap wood&MDF doors with small cheap cylinder or lever lock. Like that:
Image

But were two problems
a)These door seems ugly
b)Every alcoholic can punch out that door whithout special knowlege :D

To change old door for new security wood door needs money and time(dry wood and skilled carpenters were deficient). At the same time, steel sheets and tubes, weldering equipment where easily accessible. That's why people starts to make selfmade steel doors and finishes it with cheap pine wood.

A typical manufacturing process:

Old russian locks did not protect similar doors. Italian Ciasa and Mottura were very expensive for usual russian. Local company start to copy Italian locks and invents new locks.
In 1994-1996 small companies srart make steel armored doors with help hydravlic bending press equipments. Uses the drill resistant plates etc
Now many conpanies make many different doors.
