I was thinking more of sidboots ... he has a pair that make a very effective 2 in 1 pick ..... although I suspect that he will be through the Chubb 110 on the wall before we even get the pick out ....

The size 9 pick or 'commissioners key' is highly effective on all mortice and cylinder locks. Comes in a range of colours, is highly portable and effective in 90% of trials. Not planning on picking anything... if I plan too far ahead it wont work, I'll give that chubb section something to think about though!
Cleaned my boots just in case!
See you all in a few hours. Just sorting my picks out now. 0215 now... am I mad??
Toomush, will bring your banham back, had a few Ideas, but no time to try it out!
Yay! lockpicking!!! :D :D

It was good to see you guys again yesterday/lastnight/early this morning :-) with a good number popping in and out during the day ..

here are a few photos of the motley crew trying to pick locks ... i like the one of Sid trying to pick 3 locks at once and the suspicious crowd trying to break into the Jag !

award for best gadget made during the day goes to Toomush for his tension tool .. amazing what you can do with a cylinder rose and a bit of bent wire !

pity the 110 was not beaten but maybe next time ....

It was a good day with many tips and hints shared. Glad you got the vauxhall pixel i know i need a lot more practice on that stuff. A big thanks goes out to wallaby for his hospitality and also for sid who showed off his 3 locks at once picking technique (shame he couldnt pick a chubb 114  )
Cumscrote was having a good old time with a curtain pick and im sure is feeling rather pleased with himself after opening a few locks as he should.

Maybe we could have a few more next time to share tips and pick locks and have a good laugh whilst doing it.

Nice looking circular tension tool TooMush.

It's a wonder you didn't get a visit from the boys in blue whilst working on that Jag. Very suspicious looking crowd.

Who managed to open the McVities ?, and what technique did you use

Had a great time guy's, Wallaby you're a gent, great host!
That picture of my jag makes it look filthy, no where near as dirty as your's though!
Did anyone manage to open those nasty ovals? I have loads more somewhere, i'll dig em out ready for the next one!
Toomush, you only have a landline on your card, pm me your mob!
Keep me informed on the next bash chaps and i'll try and stay away from the shandy!

Sorry Rockford but the McVitie opening tool is classifed ... may post in the advanced section later .. its who ate them all without the rest knowing that I'm trying to figure out ...

Toomush is right, Cumscrote opened a union BS in just a few minutes with a Chris Belcher pick on his first attempt with the tool , so well done there ...

I seem to have accumalated alot more locks since everybody visited so will keep expanding the wall .. you guys did bring some nastys so that should make it interesting ...

There is no way that anybody can join us and not learn something considering the combined experience of everybody there so hope we can encourage a few more for next time ... the problem is that i will now soend a another small fortune on the toys that i saw on the day .... (Sid - i really do NEED that 114 pin set !)

p.s. just installed fan heaters today so Toomush does not need to wear a tea cosey on his head next time :-)

well yes, what can I say! another great day picking, I have not looked at the photos yet as I have just got home (another long day!)
Good old laugh, thanks Wallaby - your a great host. I will have that 114 apart and will let you know my findings - sodding thing. Maybe just not the day for pin and cam decoders (for me!)
Loads of info flying around as usual. Lets start planning the next one!
Think I will trade in my picks and buy bigger boots! :D
Toomush, like the way you didn't even try to pick the 114

So when are we going to do the next one then ? And this time i may get there before hitting the pub so i have half a chance of picking something soberish.

back for a bit

Postby sidpick » 25 Mar 2005 12:58

Hi to all you lock pick folks out there,
I am currently experiencing computer hell. Not on the net, my set up looks like 'Doc Brown' from back to the future is trying to get my flux capacitor running.
I have not run away and still require to meet up with you 'pickers' as alas it seems like ages since the last one.
Wallaby, did the chubb in under 5 mins, well under 5 mins starting with all 1 pins and working down, we must have been having a bad day!
Hope everybody is ok and I miss being on the site!
I WILL BE BACK
