Gently insert it below the key (where obviously, there is the most room), and try to catch the key on the saws bitting.
This way, the pins won't be damaged by the barbs as the smooth side is down, and it lets the key catch on the saw (with actually the pins slightly pressing the saw onto the broken key).
the saw functions the same as the fishing hook, but has more barbs.

You might want to replace the saw once a while, as it is a bit thin (or try to insert two saws taped/glued together for strenght, haven't tried that yet).
