Hey, everybody. I've been reading posts on this forum for a while now and finally decided to join. Lots of great stuff you've got here!
I'm relatively new to lockpicking. I've made a set of picks and picked a few locks laying around the house, but thats about it. Need to make a new set of picks, though, since all of 'em broke.

Hi everyone,
I was watching a lock picking video on YouTube and fiddling around with a paperclip and broken pen lid when, huzzah! I opened a padlock! I love solving puzzles and playing games involving deep concentration, so I guess that's why I'm into lock picking.
I'm in Melbourne, Australia and tried to contact someone else in Melbourne about a local locksport chapter but received no reply... anyone else from Melbourne know anything?
Cheers.
Jeremy

Hi all. I am new here. Heard about this site from a friend. I've be interested in picking for quite some time. Though I only now have the time to really take it serious and hone my skills. I also aim to finish my locksmith training and move somewhere in the EU.

So it seems like, as I scan through the intros here, that I am not the only one to have spent ages reading through the forums here, learning as I go, before it ever occurred to me to actually join. Now the problem that I see is that I can't think of the question to ask that hasn't been answered somewhere in the past... But I'm working on it.

Hello. Just introducing myself. Started picking yesterday and have gotten about 5 locks open. I'm practicing on some Masterlock No. 3's and some misc. other locks I found in the junk drawers. Look forward to learning a lot here about the mechanics of locks and how to work on them.

Hi there, new to lock picking and love your forum. Moved from Montana to California, Santa Barbara/Lompoc area, about 8 months ago. Would love to meet anyone in the area who is involved with the craft.

Newbie from Seattle here. I've been to the site countless times before to answer some of my questions and have found the answers every time. Thinking it's about time that I joined. I've got a total of 4 locks so far: 1 Brinks, 2 Masterlocks, and 1 unlabeled aside from "Made in Germany" I've been improving quickly thanks to this site, but my progress is slowed due to my roommate practicing with my locks and homemade picks with nothing short of brute force. :(

Hi all,
In my 50's now, ex-soldier, and european distance truck driver, based in Chorley, Lancashire, UK. Due to spinal problems, I retrained last year as a locksmith with Bob Curry of A1 Safe and Secure in Hereford, great course by the way!
Set up and started trading with my own business in February this year, and things are coming along quite well at the moment. When I'm not doing the routine servicing jobs, etc, I'm sat practicing picking on a variety of locks, and always trying to improve my learning curve. A fascinating subject, and more importantly, regarding my health, a profession that I can carry on doing (hopefully!) for a long time..

Hey all,
I've been on the site for a few months and never got around to making an intro post. Anyway, I'm a member of the Longhorn Lockpicking Club (LLPC) and Locksport International (LSI). My interests are split about 50/50 between picking and tool making, with a dab of manipulation thrown in for variety.
