So I went to my bank yesterday and noticed they did something to their lobby door and their interior door.
Some fool bought the wrong backset deadbolts to replace the aging deadbolts in their doors. Same BEST sfic cylinders and hardware, but the deadbolt mechanism was exchanged from a 2-3/8 to a 2-3/4 !
They actually drilled the hole for the 2-3/4 backset in the same spot, and filled the edge of the 2-3/8 hole with some joint compound on a wood door!
So now when you walk up you can clearly see a moon shaped sliver of the old hole filled with white stuff.
The deadbolt is stamped with BEST and the letter F on the edge of the door.
Clearly some in house bank maintenance guy ordered the wrong part... I was hoping they only did this to one door, but I turned around inside the ATM man trap area and the door behind me had the same thing done to it.
*rolls eyes*
