I am currently picking a schlage level two deadbolt. This is my first real security lock that I have made progress with. Four of the five pins are spools. Right now I have two spools and a standard pin in. my question is: How hard should you have to push up on the security pins to set them. I have to push rather hard to set mine and I am pretty much using no tension because the lock is spinning backwords to set the spools. I am mainly having troubles with the last pin to set. I push it in and let the plug spin back and more often than not I reset the other spool and start over.
Also I am proud to say that I have finally found the right amount of tension to use:D.

That is I have the idea for being able to tell
