How could they not have noticed that?

At least it's an easy fix, have you let them know about this and did they respond yet?

That's sort of funny. It's as if they didn't even send this product to a testing phase before selling it.

If it's BS rated it would have been tested to a certain standard, but those ratings are more concerned with strength, drill resistance and key control. They do try to make stuff pick resistant, but sometimes they get it completely wrong, and unfortunately they don't find out until it's too late since they don't actually test them properly in the design stage. They probably ordered in the cases, stuck some levers with false gates in and called it a day.

The issues presented in the video would have been pointed out right away if they had someone try to pick one before putting them on the market, but oh well. It's not a terrible lock, you do need a curtain pick and some skill to open one... but I still wouldn't be putting one on any of my doors.

i suppose it comes down to...how many locks get picked open in burglaries. In the 8 years that ive been in the trade, ive never heard of a single picked-open robbery. Destructive entry...always

Yeah these locks are a joke
As long as there are a certain number of key differs and anti-pick features it will earn its bs rating....
Thieves dont pick locks though :P If it can withstand a kicking its reasonably safe to fit.
Heads definately need to roll on this one though
