Info Request - Safe Mfg.?

Same old story ...
Forgot combination (duh!) to set in concrete floor safe.
Approx 12" x 12" square, says "PSP" on combination lock.
I was unable to find Safe Mfg / Importer .
6 Digit number (SN?) printed on label on safe front.
I would like to contact mfg to see if combination available based on SN.
photo below, thanks in advance!

That's too bad Man,
Years ago I bought a special tool that will rip the door of Your safe right off!
I used it a couple of times, but it's not worth all the damage done, unless You really hate that safe

Would special tool be a chain and the ball hitch on your van?

thanks billdeserthills,

I'm the first to hold my hand up as john q public .. Ripping the door off is probably (likely?) plan "D" (as in Demo)

A. Check again for the combo hidden somewhere in house (Murphy's law says I only find it AFTER I have the safe opened by pro & spending $)
B. Determine Mfg, obtain 'as shipped' combination (if available) and open it politely
B. Call a local pro and pay to have the non-destrutively 'cracked' (I did call one shop, 'my boss isn't in today, can you bring the safe in Wednesday? Oh yeah, it's set in concrete .. )
D. like you said, destructively open.

Plan D maybe looking good in another week or two!
thanks,

At least You are keeping your sense of humor about You,
That is prolly the most important thing. I actually open safes as part of my job,
unfortunately I have never seen or heard of your safes make though. I would assume it has the
standard 6700 S&G footprint

based on the number the dial is on in that photo and the position of the handle, have you simply tried giving it a good sharp tug to see if it is already unlocked and open? does the handle turn at all? dont spin the dial unless you already have.

What's the yellow sticker, was it already there or is that something you put on it? looks like a poorly obfuscated combination.. try 56 60 02 do you know how to dial a safe lock? youtube has some instructional videos.

edit: I dug around and its' a Pacific Security Products, private label import, imitation S&G 6730 lock.

1641 W Main St # 211 Alhambra, CA 91801 - (626) 570-4655

but call the place in this link first and see if they're the ones who sold/installed that safe based on serial number, they're in the Bay area, and list PSP as one of the brands they work on.

Thanks for the thoughts & questions, responses in random order ..

I do remember that contents are not worth having Jeff Sitar fly in for a visit ! :-(
Yes, I did try a sharp yank on the handle to see if it would open, once, twice, three times ..
I do remember that the yellow sticky I put on (too many bourbon nites ~) conflated with my street address maybe will produce combination ...
hmm was it addition, subtraction, multiplication ...? Oh yeah, I'll make it so nobody will figure it out, myself included ;-)
hmm, maybe the water is warmer in the shallow end of the gene pool ..

EDIT: thanks Squechltone - makes sense - I'm in the Bay Area .. I'll give them a ring on the morrow.

2nd photo of the most of the rest of the safe ..

Wish I was on the left coast, it would be a fun lock to manipulate.

It would be interesting if it was set to a factory default. I take it you aren't the original home owner, and that sticky thing was just trying numbers that would logically make sense?

Just to get familiar with the dialing order of operation, watch this clip:

Then try some combinations such as these commonly used factory defaults:
25-50-25
50-25-50
25-50-75
10-20-30
50-50-50

Example:
turn Left 4 times to 25 (this means past 25 3 times, and stop on 25 the 4th time around)
turn Right 3 times to 50
turn Left 2 times to 25
turn Right 1 time until dial stops hard, try to turn chrome handle in either direction.

Best of luck!

Thanks for the info squelchtone ! I appreciate it.

Good News - yeah, the safe is by Pacific Security Products and ....

Bad News - as per advised contact - PSP was an importer of 'low cost' versions of safes.
The importer did not keep records of original factory-set combinations :-|

So back to options:
AA. try potential factory settings
A. keep looking for combo
AB. figure out my super-duper secret hint/reminder code

B. watch a bunch of youtube vids, sand paper my fingers, buy a stethoscope, put on my coolest black T-shirt and spend Sat afternoon annoying myself as enthusiasm wanes and frustration sets in and turns to resignation as I realize that I can't learn to be Jeff Sitar in a couple of evenings.

C. Call around for quotes on non-destructive safe cracking.

D. Consider [renting / borrowing a high speed circular cut off saw and enter 'stage left' or pop the dial, drill a hole an, line it up and open it up] and then
turn the safe remnants into a mini-fallout shelter/safe room for my pet lizard ...
