I think I asked almost that same question a long time ago, I was told that slimline picks just have smaller profile but are the same thickness as normal picks. I have found that my hacksaw blade picks end up at about .022 inch thick after I sand them down. That seems to work fine for most locks that I deal with. I did make have to make some thinner .018 inch hacksaw blade picks for a few locks that had very narrow restricted keyways. I measured my basic Southord stainless set and it is .020 inch thick.
