(request) wet sanding

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

May I get you your slippers and newspapers as well sir? If you can't figure out how to wet sand something, don't get into making your own picks just yet. It's like asking someone how to use a hacksaw to cut a metal pipe. You just do it. Start at something like 220, then move up to 400,600,800, and finish with 1000 grit wet paper. Rinse your paper often in a container of water, something like a plastic tupperware food container. When cutting up your paper into smaller squares that you can fold in half so you always have a smooth edge, make sure the back of the paper says what grit it is, so you don't have to guess when all 5 grits are floating around in your rinse container.

Here, watch Pyro's awesome video and do some more searching on this site, there are plenty of stickies and tutorials. No wet sanding in it but its a great video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=auQbi_fkdGE

A few picks of wet sanding home made pick:
http://www.h-i-r.net/2008/07/make-your-own-lock-picks-part-1.html

and keep this in the same sanding/polishing thread next time, dont go making a new one on the same topic, it's considered poor forum etiquette.

Have fun,

Ugh. Why are you spam-ish posting?

keep your ideas/requests/questions directly relating to one another in the same thread, please. Keeps the clutter down, and the useless cross posting when one reads one, and than finds the other.

Conservation will continue in the following thread, for obvious reasons once the thread is reviewed.
