Safty Pin as Lock Pick

Hello everyone,

i wanted to know if i'm a totaly beginner if its ok for me to use a safty pin as a lock pick or any kind of small pins, or do i need to get a good lock pick, and if someone could tell me how to make one homemade i will appreciate it,

Second, anything that you can get into the lock could be used as a pick. There is so much stuff here about making your own, that I know you didn't even bother reading this stuff before you even asked.

Well for once this year i actually am in a good mood and will try and help out. First off a good pick will make life a ton easier. It takes a lot more work if you are using the wrong tools. You should read the FAQ first. It will answer almost every question you have. It is here:

It is pretty hard to find anywhere to buy from other than online so just try one of the mentioned sites.

What ever you do make sure you've read the mit guide and as much as youu can. Here is the MIT guide:

It is very helpful. Go over it until it ALL makes sence. Then start trying to pick.

And to give a partial answer, yes safety pins can be used, best to dull them first though.

geuss waht... safety pins work i used safety pin + modified bobby pin to pick some travel locks. did you know that Brinks brand travel locks are easiest to pick since you can't put too much tension on them? cool, eh?
