Am I mistaken or is that a mul-t-lock pick?
Once upon a time, there was a lovely little sausage called `Baldrick', and it lived happily ever after.

Couldn't quite find the video I was looking for, but if this doesn't explain it hopefully you can find something that will:

P.S. Well done, let me know if you've tried it on anything yet and how it went, and if I got anything wrong it's cause it's 2 am and i gotta wake up in a couple hours.

Hmm, of course just searching curtain pick works. Anyway, the above videos are pretty cool non the less, and the guy below has some well made videos explaining the process and the locks at least somewhat:

Sorry for the slow reply guys, I've been pretty busy.

Well firstly, its for curtained mortice locks (maybe should be in the Euro locks section - whoops) and it does indeed work. I opened a 5 lever earlier tonight. Unfortunately it only fits 5 gauge (5.2mm diameter) locks but I'm working on the 7 gauge (4.3mm) as of Monday. Equivalent commercially available tools like this are at least £150 so I've saved quite a lot.

After doing the 7 gauge I think I'll experiment with a multigauge tool. I'm thinking a tapered bar with notches cut out to tell you when you've got the right section in. Might go with a 'T' shape for the turner too. This homebrew stuff is loads of fun aint it?!!!!

Sorry for the mega slow reply!

This one is made from 5mm stainless steel bar with a 2mm furrow cut out of it, about halfway into the bar. It can be as long as you like.

Blob of weld on the end, filed to suit and then another bar welded for tension application. Finito!

Then 1.6mm wire bent for the wire pick.

What did you cut the groove out with?

I know how these work and this is a great simple design, have you made wires for opening from both sides of the lock?

Yes mate. You just bend them whichever way you need to. Dead easy.

Check out my whole collection now:

The allan key ones are simple yet good.

The grooves were put in there using a slitting saw (I think). Just a blade that jou can control its depth with.

The allan key grinding was pretty easy, it just gets very hot and you need a tub of water to cool it down otherwise you'll melt your skin off!
