Ball picks

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

Ball picks

Postby h3x1lu2 » 9 Apr 2006 17:39

Ok, so I've been trying to use a ball pick for a while now...from what I have gathered, it works on wafer locks, and to use it one does a raking motion?...is a ball pick more effective than a snake rake? any info on ball picks will help...also, how does it compare to an elliptical ball pick...etc. :D
There is no such thing as a master key to life...for everything else, there are picks.

The shape of the pick is one factor in opening a lock the other is the motion of your hand. It is how the two come together that makes or breaks it. Practice with a variety of picks, because a pick that is most closely matches the key profile for that lock you are working on should open it the easiest.
