@David_Parker: The extra long gauges I use are from
HaWe, that seems to be a German company. I always buy them at "Hornbach" markets throughout Germany, but this is probably not too much useful information for you when you're from TX (Texas?). Sorry about that.
I also cannot provide you with pictures of making them, because I simply wouldn't know what to show. Basically its' just a vice, some excellent files and a Dremel. The gauges are glued together (Pattex Classic) like a sandwich. Very easy to copy them.
@digital_blue: Right, they don't have a trigger.
You just wind them up a bit, let's say 180 degrees counter-clockwise, put them into a lock and then let it go. The coils I use are powerful enough to build up enough torque. Got them from a hardware shop.
