This is a common question asked all the time. The problem is the now out of production handleset. So what to do?
First, look thru a good wholesale catalog covering everybody's locks. Find a handleset close to what you need to replace.
THEN get an Ilco cylinder designed for replacements, like the one for knobs, deadbolts, etc. (K500 series) in your keyway. In this case with a Weslock, you will have to use the dreaded "composite" keyway. It will work.
Now, just swap the Ilco cylinder, now keyed to the customer's key into the new handleset, and install the whole thing in their door. Problem fixed.
There has to be someplace a design "close" to the foot print of the original. If nothing else, get a Don Jo plate, cover the existing holes and do a complete installation.
All will like the final product, will work well for many ages, and you just got another kudo for knowing how to fix an "unfixable" problem.
