Looking for books and advice on correspondence courses.

Postby james06141991 » 13 Dec 2014 15:21

Hi everybody. I'm new, just signed up. I'm looking to buy/download some books. I don't know what's reputable or not. I'm also looking to take some courses. I've tried searching, but I'm still not entirely sure what to buy. I also need some advice on what picks I should get. I know this has been asked time and time again. This is all so new to me that I'm a little bit intimidated. Thanks for your time.

I'm on my phone at work so I can't really dig links for you, but I wouldn't worry about taking a course, personally. I'd say the first step before shelling out too much cash is to first grab a set of picks and to simply start picking. You might not even enjoy it, so just read up on the literature available online - there's a lot. Again, I wish I could post links, but either way, I'd recommend a Southord set for a beginner. If you want nice quality, look at Petersons or sparrows. Check out the link on the side bar for lockpickshop, as they support this board and have a wide variety of items.

For advice on courses look up Penn Foster or Foley Belsaw in our Locksmith Business Information area.

In fact, I'm going to move this thread over there as well, since it isnt really about Hobby Lockpicking.

Thank you! I was wondering where to post it. I thought that was for advertising. I'm sorry, I've never been a member of a forum before. This is a little confusing for me.
