That style of lock is usually trivial to decode... however, that type of lock bypass is outside of the realm of regular locksport picking -- and, consequently, instructions for that are outside of the realm of what's appropriate for discussion on in public forums. (Sorry!)
While it doesn't directly answer your question, in the worst case, you can cycle through all 1000 combinations and get your documents back while watching a movie... it wouldn't take that long.

Ya know... I'm not trying to sound judgmental here, but I have a heckuva time believing that anyone who uses English as you do has any important documents in any briefcase anywhere.
Just food for thought.

Well said db. I wont tell you how to decode it, but I will tell you it only takes several minutes to find the code by brute force. Start at 001 then go to 002, 003, 004 etc until you find the combination. Three wheel combinations are pretty easy to find this way.

Before you pick a lock:
The first thing that you should do is check to make sure that
the lock is your's and secondly make sure its not in use.

Well, I meant if English isn't his native language (although, I know, there are many here who fit that case but still have near perfect English) , but I'm sure you knew what I meant .
