Where can I get a 3 pin lock?

Postby Matthais_31 » 4 Nov 2004 22:05

Hi

Lock picking seems like an intersting hobby, and was wondering if anyone could tell me where I could get hold of a simple 3 pin tumbler lock (I think thats what there called?!). Ive seen a couple of cylinders recommended, but from what i can gather they all seem to be 5 pin.

Ive heard a few names of locks floating around, but cant find them online.

Any help appreciated, thanks in advance :)

you probably want to get yourself a normal deadbolt replacement cylinder (5 or 6 pins) and then take some of the pins out and work up from there.

that's the best way to learn.
Oh look! it's 2016!

Hmm i was a little apprehensive about removing the pins myself...but if its the best way to go, why not!

Cheers,
