Postby steve0527 » 19 Nov 2007 1:59

Hi I realy love lock picking but i have been using homemade lock picks and i really want a real set i cant seem to find any in canada i found slim jims at a surplus store but i cant find picks if any body could help me i would be greatfull i dont have a credit card so i cant really buy off the internet so if somebody would like to sell or trade something for a set or could tell me where i can buy a set from would be great.

picks in Canada

Postby gostone » 19 Nov 2007 7:25

I would suggest you get someone to purchase some picks from lockpickshop.com. I have ordered from them several times, and there are no problems ordering them from the US.
You could also ask a locksmith, as most of the locksmith supply houses have lockpicks available. I got my LAB picks form the local locksmith supply shop, my locksmith friend picked them up for me.
Where in Canada are you from?

good luck

lockpickshop.com is good, i've ordered several times from them and i get better prices and selection (of picks) through them than i do through my locksmith distributors.

Dude I already told you all you have to do is send me $25 dollars in the mail and I will send you a beginners kit, all you had to do was PM me. Why don't you ask 5 more times and ignore everything everyone is telling you. You are a 23 year old liar with no credit card and you cant read or follow rules so you don't deserve to have any lockpicks.

Steve: Doug is President of the Austin Locksport International chapter, and is well known around here... he isn't "some stranger" asking for your money in the mail. He's also currently offering one of the best deals going for an intro-to-lockpicking package. Both of these facts could have been established by quickly searching the site -- or simply by asking.

seriously, as a canadian locksmith i'm telling you don't bother. none of the online stores are in canada and none of the distributors here will sell to you unless you go through a lot of work setting yourself up as a company.

Thing is, you seem a little too eager to buy a set. If you're having problems, perhaps post some pics of your existing ones. There's plenty of guys here who could help you with materials and techniques. From what I can see, there's nothing any of the homemade ones can't do different than the ones I buy. If anything they can do more. I end up modifying new ones all the time.
Don't believe everything you think.

Someone just spammed this on some other forum, it's a .ca site, maybe it's of some use. They do sell some picksets.
