rolling combination lock bypass

I had a couple of cheap bicycle locks (rolling combo lock) lying around and I finally found a bypass. Something like this Image
First thing you need to do is apply tension by pulling on the two ends. Then you can turn each tumbler until you feel it bind. Start at the end and work your way down the lock. I have tried on quite a few locks and it seems to work for most of them.
If all fails, use nitroglycerine.

OMG like this is sooooo original...

I'm sorry, but saying that is like running into the street and shouting "I have invented somethuing round - I shall call it the wheel" This idea has been talked about to a great extent.

I don't consider this a bypass at all... at what point do you 'bypass' the mechanism with your technique?

woah...word of humble advice to illusion...

never. EVER. become a motivational speaker.

I swear if he did, someone could trace a spike in suicides in the UK.

and darrel--it's neat that you found that, and personally, I had only heard that that worked on Master combo locks. and you needed to do a long pattern with them. thanks :D

Can a Peterson Mini Knife be used to decode that lock? (Like the brief case locks?)

it works on a variety of cable locks, not just masterlocks.
