Apparently in Amsterdam, they often times don't even bother with crowbars or car jacks, they just use the bike frame itself as leverage. Especially with steel frames, I could see how this is possible without damaging the frame, but you would really need a lot of torque and probably couldn't do it by yourself. The Kyrptonite ones especially, as mentioned earlier, are pretty resistent to leverage attacks.
By the way, the bic trick doesn't work very well on most u-locks. I've tried it for over an hour on my own, it worked once, and I wasn't able to replicate it. Its a very unelegant way of doing so it depends on a lot of luck sometimes.
Your best bet is to just call a locksmith or a local bike shop to do it for you (especially look for a non-profit bike shop in your neighborhood, mine will unlock it for around $30). Though most bike shops won't touch it unless you can prove its your bike. Best of luck.
