why dont you just get some bolt cutters? If they can cut big ass bolts then can probably cut the little lock. Plus, you probably get em in Norway.

because the forum has a language filter to block out anything that could be considered offensive to people, considering people of any age can browse the forums.

Apparently in Amsterdam, they often times don't even bother with crowbars or car jacks, they just use the bike frame itself as leverage. Especially with steel frames, I could see how this is possible without damaging the frame, but you would really need a lot of torque and probably couldn't do it by yourself. The Kyrptonite ones especially, as mentioned earlier, are pretty resistent to leverage attacks.

By the way, the bic trick doesn't work very well on most u-locks. I've tried it for over an hour on my own, it worked once, and I wasn't able to replicate it. Its a very unelegant way of doing so it depends on a lot of luck sometimes.

Your best bet is to just call a locksmith or a local bike shop to do it for you (especially look for a non-profit bike shop in your neighborhood, mine will unlock it for around $30). Though most bike shops won't touch it unless you can prove its your bike. Best of luck.

To whoever posted about the u-lock freezing method: I've heard this is totally a myth, and most people wouldn't be able to get access to Freon or Liquid Nitrogen anyway. Even if you were, its too dangerous to be bungling around outside with on a bike rack.

If your "friends" really did this, just get them to undo it or get a professional to do so.
