LEDadd1ct: before trying to buy sth. through this forum you should check the rules. I'm not sure but I faintly recall something about minimum post count before buying/selling. (The post-count is why I suggested ebay actually.)
Heavy or not, use it or not, I would even get it just for the fun. I mean most of us has a lot more locks than they use:D and it is without doubt a very nice padlock. Somehow I find they don't often make new padlocks that beautiful nowadays.
(I still wouldn't take such an exquisite lock like 3020 on a trip. What if you loose it. Or if someone does cut the shackle. That would be such a shame. A 3020 is a lot bigger loss than an anchor las or whaterver average padlock you choose. In my opinion an abloy 3020 belongs more to a collection and should be cared for. Nurtured. Taken to the playground to play with other little locks then later on taken to the training . Maybe even read a nice fairy tale before sleepy-time. Don't forget they grow up so fast.
(I'm serious about not risking such a padlock though. But I still have to admit that it would be very-very cool. At least if I saw it on a locker I would surely find it amusing.
(just out of curiosity could you weigh the 3020? Or just give an approximate weigh if it's too much of a hassle. Because when I saw it gave the impression of being heavy. It seems I've misjudged it.)
(ps.: I'm not sure whether the direction we take the discussion is actually rule-abiding. Does it (with all the alloy stuff) count as hijacking? Just to be sure. Because I've angered a mod recently with a dumb post and I don't want to ever do that again. And if that mod is reading this: I'm sorry about that instance too.)
