Definitely a Chubb AVA padlock, the mechanism being possibly as common in the UK now used in the Chubb 4L67 BS 3621 rim nightlatch (previously 4L66).
As Zeke 79 said, it's a very difficult pick and to me and would be an absolute nightmare if I came across a lock mech such as this in the UK to open at the door.

Jason, I admire and understand your enthusiasm for lockpicking and your will to make McGyver tools, but honestly, in the meantime, try something a bit less difficult. Your sense of achievements in picking, if you take things step by step will be far more rewarding for you in the long term.
