The Kwikset deadbolt on my front door is failing and I have ordered a new old stock Medeco deadbolt based on Medeco Air 5-pin cylinder.
I'm not too concerned with resistance against brute force entry and I won't bother with frame reinforcement since if someone really wants to get in, they can just break the window and climb in through there. I'm trying to build resistance against clean-entry by impressioning, bumping or picking.
How tamper resistant is the Medeco Air lock?
If someone was to take a key to a locksmith and ask for a copy, is it likely they'll simply grab a Kaba-Ilco 1515(not restricted) and copy it for more bucks than a standard key or would they refuse to do it?
