Rating system

Postby sivlogkart » 25 Sep 2005 3:41

Could we have an approximate rating system of how hard locks are to pick? I know that it depends on the particular lock and it is bitting etc, but I am only interested in an approximate rating system. We could make it out of ten, and have say 10 well-known locks for each value to get a range from say a paper-clip=0, some Abus locks=1, ..., Abloy=10.

Ratings could be given for different sets of tools like standard picks, slimline picks, and various special tools, etc.

Any thoughts?

This is kinda along the same lines.

The discussion wandered onto lock ratings as well.
