Help with my first pick?

Postby bleu » 28 Sep 2005 9:38

Hey im new and all to lock picking, decided to take it up, seams to have a certin thrill to the idea. I've been trying to pick my bedroom door and the front door of the house with a hair clip as a pick, the bedroom door has five rivets and the front door has seven, now on both doors im able to get all pins picked except for one, why is it that theres one that I can't get? lack of practess or is there some kind of saftey on the pin? not that I need pick the others, I aply presure on them all and turn the tension tool. Maby you could give me a tip? the method im useing for the remaining pin is pushing it down till it hits the bottom with presure still on the tension tool, shouldn't it hit the (what ever its called, were it meets the second pin part that allows it to move freely) rivet then turn? am I applying to much or to little presure? thanks.
Rehab is for quiters.

Do a search for the MIT guide to lockpicking. It souunds like you need to do a lot more reading before you attempt a lock.
