Anyone picked a Kaba Gege or a Lockwood V7? How did you accomplish that? I've got a couple of cylinders I can practice on, anyone got some tips?

V7..beautiful locks, all of mine appear to have spool pins but other than that i find them no harder than a normal 7-pin inline (not that i can say i have picked or seen too many 7 pin locks)
How restricted is the V7 keyway?

Ahhhh... the German Wendt Electropick. I've been looking for an electric pick, most likely a SouthOrd. If anyone has an electropick they want to part with, let me know.

V7 is easy to pick, easier than inline stuff. The MLA trade test requires you to pick it with hand picks only. The way it's machined usually means that one side will set first, and them the other.
Simple.
As for Kaba Ge-Ge, nasty tight keyways, and serrated pins. Never tried one.

Does the MLA trade test specifically require a V7 cylinder? I'm hoping to get my hands on one to keep at home, so that I can practice. Same with a Gege.

Yes. Like the manufacturer of each would be helpful.
