Upcoming Alberta meeting!

October 15th, afternoon. PM Renderman for directions. Be there. There is going to be a TON of locks from warded to Primus, some mounted, some not, and some to give away to the fastest picker.

Bring your skillz, or just come for fun.

I believe we're also going to experiment with bump keys as well. 8)

Would love to check it out.
Im an amature hobbiest pick from Edmonton trying to hone my skills, so far on my own. I found this site a few months ago and have been reading as much as i can, and so far all the info I've gained here has been an incredible help. Now to find a group where I live that meets to discuss, train and share techniques is the cats ass! So far I've been using home made picks and i can open most pad locks I've tried (master, abus, brinks to name a few) as well as some wieser dead bolts and door locks, but I'm not very quick and could use some help with my technique. Thanks to evey one here for all the info and I hope to see some of you at the meeting if your letting new people come. :D

I'm thinking 1-2 pm. I've got stuff later in the evening, so to be out 6 ish would be good.

Bring some snacks, tools, vices and any locks you might have.

Btw, if anyone has a digital camera and is willing to take and donate the pics to put up on the net, make sure to bring one.

Also, do make sure to bring a friend. :) There's going to be LOTS of locks available for free. (You'll have to pick 'em first though.)

Forgot to mention also that Edmonton/LSI may be the first location for the official LSI TEST kit. ;)

Renderman....any chance you can pick up a cheap stopwatch/timer? I'll reimburse ya for it at the meeting.

Hey everybody! LSI website has been updated with a report and pictures from the October meeting in Edmonton! Wish I coulda been there, but hopefully my meeting (still tentatively next Saturday) in Winnipeg will be as fun as this one looked!

Report can be read here:
http://www.locksport.com/chapters.htm

Photos can be viewed here:
http://www.locksport.com/picmenu.htm

Thanks to Varj for writing up the report and Renderman for supplying the great photos, and hosting the event!

Other LSI members... get your groups together and get some meetings going! You're missing out on the fun! And make sure you take lots of pictures!

Cheers!
