n2oah, thats what I call direct and to the point, thats refreshing. I ended up getting the ndpk hpc pick set, now I just have to learn how to use it, taking the fb course, learning slowly but surely. Just curious, what do you like and what don't you like about southOrd picks, interested in zeke79's if I get a reply from him.

What's wrong with SouthOrds?
Some things may be pick proof, but everything can be bypassed....

I would rate the HPC's higher than you appear to have. Especially the 2000 line. Rytan, I have never used any, but I remember there was quite a discussion here a long time ago on these, and the reviews were almost universally positive.

I agree, I personally use my HPC's more than my southords or petersons, with the exception a couple slimline picks I love.

Whoops, I didn't take the 2000 line into consideration, I was using the regular old HPC riveted handle picks for that.

I still think the HPC riveted picks are great, and would say they were 'High' not 'Medium.'

As l337 as the Falle picks are, I recall reading on here somewhere that they had fairly sharp edges... or is this a problem with all comercial picks? Or is it a problem?
P.S. If by drawing your attention to this I have ruined your experience of your Falle picks, I will be happy to take them off of your hands for propper disposal.

The edges are, in fact, sharper than I'd expected them to be. From what I gather, they are cut with a high pressure water saw, and though this does not leave the burrs that are common to tools that have been punched out, it still leaves edges that are a bit sharp. Just last night I took some sandpaper to the edges of my favorite Falle pick. Much better.
