i work in a hardware store and the only chainsaw files we sell are rounded. If you find a square one or one with a 90 degree angle you should be able to use it.
I want to convert a electric chain saw sharper to a key cuter, just change out the chain saw Cutter to a key Cutter. Some tweaking and I might have a key cutter
This can be set from 0 to 90 degree angles, Think would have to set it to 90 to get the cut I need on a key.
Well, all that would need to been done, is figuring out how to transfer the image of the one cut key, to the uncut blank... give me a day, I'll figure out a contraption, and post a picture on how it would work
Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Like have a plastic wheel guide, then the normal cutting wheel, and then attach the two keys by an arm, and then as the cut key slides along the plastic disk, it would carve out the uncut key in exact dimensions.

yes it is a grinding wheel but I want to replace it what a key cut wheel.
if you look at my photos that are lot of adjustments I can make on it where the chain would go I need to adapt it to take two keys and then a guide wire to follow the master key.
