The original case is a square plastic tube similar to the round ones used to store optics if he got them off lockpicks.com which I think he did. I just got a set of the "Just Picks Assorted" myself and am very happy with them. All in all, an improvement over what they came in. In the future I think black is more stylish. probably will want to use matching black thread. Have you considered adding a button of some sorts to keep it rolled up? Maybe something like the strap from an umbrella.

Well, I think it's very enterprising, and you should be pleased with it.

For closing it you could consider Velcro. Probably ideal.

My only worry is that the points of the picks are where you fold the top part down over, and could start to make holes. I wonder if you could do something to encourage the fold to be slightly higher than the pick ends,such as sewing something thicker inside the bottom half to force a fold at a certain height, and/or add a re-enforcing strip of something tough along the part where the tips will press.

Still, only you can tell what is needed, if anything. The good thing compared to the case my SO MPXS-14 set came in, is that you can see all your picks and just lift out the one you want. I have to tip all mine out on the floor and then search through the pile.

I see you spent a good bit of time making your case, while spending little money. I thinks thats great. If SFGOON cracked on your case, I wonder what he would say about mine? oh, ya... I think you could close your case with some snaps.... The ones I used here are from the W mart. They have little metal spikes, and you hammer them together with the cloth in between. They sell sew-on snaps, too.

Modeled on the Falle case it can't fail to be bad, and you've done a decent job.
