My DIY pick-case

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

My DIY pick-case

Postby illusion » 15 Oct 2005 18:25

This is my home made case, I call this the 'jeans back-pocket case'. This case not suprisingly was made using the back pocket of an old pair of jeans. Without modifying it at all can be used as a pouch for picks and other small tools, however with a bit of sowing organises picks very well. I left the right hand side of my case as a pouch for a lock and tension tools, but other posibilities include removing the right half, and fitting mini-harnesses so a variety of tools can be well organised and kept in place... When I finish my Falle replicas i think they might have a reserved place in this case :D

needs a bit of touching up, but works well enough as it is.

Ah... so it's not just a clever name then? :P

Nice idea tho. It's pretty funky. Stylish.... bold... yet... beautiful. I predict it will be all the rage for our more fashion minded pickers. ;)

Oooh ooh. And our lady lockpickers can add a thin strap and it becomes the perfect evening bag for those romantic nights out.

Hehehe.. you know... I just re-read my comments and noticed how sarcastic they might sound. For the record, I was just having a little fun, but I do actually think it was a good idea though illusion. :)

Thats a good effort, youll soon be thinking of ways to 'accidentally' rip your back pockets off

I can soon see you showing us one youve made from the leg of the jeans as you tools grow in numbers

Are they homemade pick? sorry if this is the subject of another thread, if so they look good as well.

I would go for the ones with the grips. The reason being is that first of all they are $10 cheaper, I know you guys are saying not too because of the feedback will be bad, but if you notice in the description. The grips are removable. So you can try them with the grips and if that works for you then that's great but if you don't like them then just simply take the grips off. TAA DAA!! The choice is clear my dear friend. Hope this is to some use to your decision.

My wife was looking over my shoulder while I opened this thread. Her exact comment was, "Is that a pick set in your pocket? Dear god, I hope so..." and she started laughing hysterically.

I REALLY need to get her out more often

I like that, add some belt loops on the back and put on your belt.
