I'm new, got a question... :O

Sorry if this is question is either really stupid, or it could have been answered without bothering you guys...

Anyway I've been looking around the site for a few days, read the MIT guide, etc etc. And decided to try everything out.

One problem. No picks.

I can't buy them either, I'd rather not explain why.

So I've been fooling around with different materials, trying to make my own. Found this little peice of thin metal in my basement, cut it a bit with a saw and I've started trying to file it down.

Does anyone have any sugestions? I don't have access to any sort of dremel tool or a sander or anything, so everything must be done by hand. What are some good soft materials that can be hand filed?

Try converting the image to a jpeg or gif, then repost it... :wink:

Look a bit short... don't think it will reach all the way to the furthest pins in a lock.

Ah well. I managed to force a metal strip off a rake, I'l try and do something with that...
