Hi, this is my first post as I've just started getting into lock picking seriously, I always been fascinated by lockpicking/smithing and thought it would be a good fall back plan for work.
I started getting interested when I first bypassed the door code locks we have at work and wondered why no-one else seemed to be able to bypass the lock when it was so simple to open and most of the guys I work with are pretty smart? The locks my boss purchased were cheap (its in his nature) so fairly easy to bypass, I just wonderd if any of you guys found that most people even those with a good idea of mechanical principles didn't know much of how to bypass simple security devices? I'm very new to this and just starting to crack simple pin-tumblers and padlocks and wondered of the majority of people you know don't have much idea of how to even extract a broken key etc even though a little bit of knowledge could save them quite a few quid if a key broke etc? Thanks, Rob.
