When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

how about a thread for cases that make excellent pick cases but may be intended for other things. It might be a case for a daily planner, cell phone case, camera case, pencil pouch, etc.
my contribution was an item found at wal greens about a year ago, I was fixing a lock and needed some nails(don't ask), and was looking at the tool section and found this...wish I had a picture
http://www.walgreens.com/store/product. ... prod401193
It is a tri-fold tool set with alot of sections sewn into it with tools for like 4 bucks us. check it out, i currently use for my extractor tools, nice makeshift case for picks, but not as nice as say a peterson, I really like it for extractors. But this is perhaps the nicest case I have seen that was not intended for a pick case.

I use this DeWalt branded drill holster. It has something like 12 or 14 elastic pockets that hug my cheap set of SouthOrds quite nicely. It also has a loop for your belt, so it looks like you're carrying drills or something, but when you need them, they're there. ~Grit.
Got shear line?

Someone posted about make-up brush cases.
Buying these could actually work in your favour...
If the sales girl is cute, you could say:
"You obviously don't need these brushes, but I'm only going to throw them away...would you like them anyway?"
If it ain't broke.....pull it down and see how it works anyway!

Unfortunately, I think waaaaaay more than I speak.
Some of my mates have more front than Woolworths, and talk random BS, getting very good results...and I end up kicking myself after the conversation is long over.

If it ain't broke.....pull it down and see how it works anyway!

I think you said it best in one of your posts:
Women are like apples on trees. The best ones are at the top of the tree. Most men don't want to reach for the good ones because they are afraid of falling and getting hurt. Instead, they sometimes take the apples from the ground that aren't as good, but easy. The apples at the top think something is wrong with them, when in reality, they're amazing. They just have to wait for the right man to come along, the one who's brave enough to climb all the way to the top of the tree
how are your climbing skills mate?
carpe diem - seize the day(or possibly seize the moment, I'm not certain)

I'm afraid of heights....Heh...OK, I'm being selective, but:
Aren't the apples on the ground still ripe for the picking?
Sure, they may be a bit bruised, but they're still apples.
If it ain't broke.....pull it down and see how it works anyway!

Yeah, even though they are bruised, doesn't mean they're not apples.
You can choose either, and although the ones at the bottoms are bruised, it doesn't mean they are not right for someone. The ones at the top will take longer to get, but you get a sense of accomplishment when you finaly achieve this.
and as the saying goes: "The ripest apples, do make the best apple-pies"

That would be me. And the looks I got from the sales person were memories for the ages.
Some things may be pick proof, but everything can be bypassed....

I built my two picks (tear drop & diamond) so they would fit into a X-acto knife handle, I just put my pick-blades in with the other X-acto blades and I'm worry free about the cops hassling me

As an aside, of my five apple trees, the best apple pies / crisps are made from the not yet ripe apples on one tree that ripens late.
yummy
