I don't think there's anyone else. Aus roll call:

Fah Cue and sl_aus are in Sydney, NSW,
skold and oldlock are in Adelaide, SA
helix is in Perth, WA
Whitehat is in Brisbane, QLD
Luke is in Melbourne, VIC,
Geek142 is in Geraldton, WA,
and I'm on the Gold Coast, QLD.

I think that's it. If I've left anyone out, forgive me. :)

With Fah-Cue and myself being rather new to lockpicking it would seem that we need a more respected and experienced LP101 member to get the ball rolling in Australia's LARGEST city - surely there's more Sydneysiders who frequent this forum.

As a little digital birdie once said to me,
"It is more the enthusiasm and 'prepared to start a good chapter'ness that counts,
not your picking skills or locksmithiness".

...or it was something along those lines LOL.

Really, if you are new and only have new members,
get easy locks. When you are better, get better locks.

At least you will have those easy locks for newbies etc
when they come to meetings.

I have more respect for someone who jumps in the deep end
and tries his best to do a good job, than someone
who can do that same job with his eyes closed,
but only does it halfarsed.

There is a lot of help available, you already know that I'll help you.
DB and Varjeal have been very helpful and if you
check out the LSI site, you'll see that the
homework has already been done for you.

A years worth of meetings are already planned out
if you can't think of anything.

Either way, it is still good to know that if neither of you
want to take on the role as president of Mexico,
You only need to find a president and you will have a chapter.

Personally, I say to take on the job. Get things rolling
and if in a few meetings time you are still not confident,
arrange a vote for someone else to apply for
the position.

Hope you find a third person dude.

Helix, that's one helluva pump-up post - did Don Talbot help you pen that? :)

That'd transform the meakest soldier into John Rambo.

Fah_***, PM sent.

And then there were three.....

Over the past few weeks the missus has shown more than just a passing interest and has picked most Lockwood cylinders I've given her to muck around with - raking at this stage (I know, but you try and tell her to persevere and pick 'em pin by pin!)

She's put her hand up to take part.

C'mon Sydney pickers, voice an interest.

Hey!!

Well done Mrs_aus!!

Fah_Cue, sl_aus and Mrs_aus are.......

A PICKING GROUP!!

One of you take the stand of president and get things happening.

Personally, I feel that the meetings should be held
at the _aus's place, then only one needs to travel.

But either way, good for yous!!

Message DB and nominate yourself as president.
All it takes is a little enthusiasm, etc so get onto it.

Like I said before, if you don't feel that the job is
for you, nominate someone else later.

Just get it happening, dude!

Well done, and congrats to the missus on her picking.
They sound like decent locks to be opening.

You obviously have the knack for getting people
interested and being able to teach what you know,
so you sound alright for the job to me.

Put your hand up dude.
You can get the test kit sent and test everyone etc
as well, which will be good to know.

Now go buy your woman some picks!!
...you know she'll just claim yours, LOL.

DO IT, DO IT, DOO ITTT!!!

No worries, dude.

...To take an example from Chrispy,

"There's a 'h' in there! LOL

...not a 'H' but it is all cool.

Shows respect for my name, without realising the
inferior complex way that I spell it LOL.

No problem, haha.
