Master Lock finally passed

Postby Frazzled Penguin » 31 Oct 2005 3:28

So.. I just thought that I would share this recent experience...

The Story..
I'm currently at a Level 2 ranking with LSI. With that said, I have just today introduced my friend to Lockpicking and he has joined LSI. So today we were picking our hearts out.. He grabbed a Master Lock with a freakishly small keyway..

I've never had any luck picking this lock. He picks it up and picks it in no time. And does it repeatedly... Aiya. I refused to put the lock down until I picked it.. Several hours later, I finally got it (with some guidance)..

Along with the extremely tiny keyway the pins are very close togeather and there was one spool pin. Once I figured that out I was able to pick it. It actually posed quite the challenge, but I'm quite excited that I have defeated it.

Not the most amaizing of stories but exciting to a newb nonetheless. :)

...Say, you aren't the lock picking penguin in Madagascar, are you?

I've seen all your stuff!

Anyway, congrats on the opening, dude.

I always find eating lots of fiber to be helpful.

Well, I can say that once FP got the whole spool pin thing figured out on that master, he was picking it in mere moments.

Yup, once I figured out about that 3rd pin being a spool pin it became quite easy. Those spools always tend to trip me up. :(
