When you get stuck on a spool pin you will notice a slight rotation of the plug. Say, between 5 and 10 degrees. That could be what you're up against... maybe? How much does the plug turn?

Aha! It could be that the driver pins (top pins) are hitting the bottom of the keyway as it rotates to the 180 degree position. I have a lock that does this, and will still rotate back without getting stuck in this position, but will not cross the 180 degree position without some "help".

Try putting a pick in upside-down with the flat edge facing up, and see if you can lift the driver pins out of the way, and turn the plug past the 180 point.

I'm guessing a bit here, but if it sounds like I may be right, give it a try.

Let me intoduce you to my friend, his name is Mr. Period. Mr. Period is very social, but unfortunately all of the other words don't like him very much so they always throw him to the end of the sentence. However, most of the other words don't know how valuable he is. Despite his small stature, Mr. Period is a vital part of any complete thought. Without it, it is difficult and/or annoying for others to read your questions. Hint Hint. Nudge Nudge.

His cousin, Mr. Comma is just as important. As are Mrs. Spelling and Ms. Grammar.

it sounds like you turn it half way and it gets stuck..

you can put your tension wrench in , and rake at the pins again - this works for me, and only takes a few swipes.

I thought the question was like one of those challenges when you have to read the entire sentence without drawing breath... :)

P.S. I had nothing against you dodge, I'm just a stickler about the correct use of spelling and grammar. :)
