Bump keys

Postby WilDKluX » 2 Nov 2005 11:16

I have only found one place to buy bumpkeys on the internet (www.multipick-service.com). They seem very expensive. Why is this? Will the bumpkeyset for the Netherlands work in my country(Norway)? Is electric pics a better choice? I case: is the E100HO Electric Lock Pick -4.5 volt any good?

IMHO Bump keys are really good for keyways which are restrictive and you cannot easily get a electro-pick or regular picks in there to manipulate the pins. You can go to a local locksmith and have him cut a 999 key on the keyblank of your choice if you wish. I have found though, that bump keys work faster and better than my electro-pick on some locks. Hope this helps.

unless it's poor quality I'd have thought the bumpkey to be faster.

they are expensive due to their effectiveness on many locks.
