After I had mastered kwicksets weisers arrows, the then moved to schlages, after that I went to yales then Corbins then sargents, then Best locks.
Honestly if I started on a corbin I would have had my confidence broken as I hadnt mastered the feel of pins yet. You need to learn hopw each pin feels, and wehn it sets, and also you need to learn how security pins feel when you encounter them. For example spool pins are very distinct in my opinion they are very easy to recognize when you know how they feel.
Its good to always challenge yourself, but dont set yourself up for failure. That keyway is fairly restrictive, try a less restrictive corbin keyway. Also start off by raking using LIGHT tension, this will set a 3-4 pins usuall very quickly if not open the lock completely. Then go in with your feeler pick and set the remaining ones. It will take while but with patience it'll open.
My best bet is to reccomend mastering easier locks. Pick them up off ebay and keep in mind that they are MUCH HARDER to pick when in a door.
Good luck
