hello i have a new lock that im working on and would like to know what it is i dont know what its called so i couldnt search before i posted here are some pictures please tell me specs on this lock eg. pin types and if you know any tricks for opening this lock it would be very much appreciated...

Looks like a Brinks Round lock, similar to Masterlock's No.40 padlock. Also, what do you mean by trick ? There's no tricks when picking a lock. Maybe you should read the MIT Guide.

I think he meant bypass methords like shims or the like by saying "tricks"

that thing has a very small keyway, and will be really hard to move your pick around in.

I would say this is a Brinks, but I have seen quite a few copies made by other compaines.

nasty looking wards, generally looks difficult to pick, and I'll bet it has some security pins.

well i still dont know what it is but it must be a ripoff because i raked it open in like 2 minutes so i dont think it has security pins ..

is this a "Brinks Shrouded" padlock perhaps?
Nasty wards ?! If you see what a nasty warded lock is, you'll freak out boy.

Its not a Brinks, I have one and it says Brinks right on it.

sif..I love restricted pick access, it gives picking that much more challenge.

It's a Brinks knockoff. I've got one. If it was a Brinks, it would say Brinks. If it was an Abus, it would say Abus. If it doesn't say anything, it's a chinese knockoff. :wink:
