I can not get my #3 to open via picking, So I cheat, I have to use the pick-gun or Lock-Shims. On the Master lock you have to use two shims.

I suggest you learn how to pick that one first before going to any other harder lock, because that's a very very easy lock. I am now able to pick my Masterlock No.532 without a problem, I just need a good 10-15 minutes, and i'll be able to do it.

Anyways, you just thought me something Auto45, I didn;t know that a Masterlock No.3 could be bypassed using padlock shims. Thanks for that.

Yo, I am AS suprised as you if this can be done, I never would of thought that this can be done on a No.3. I'll have to go buy one and confirm this to everyone. I tried shimming the No.5 on both sides, and no luck. That means the No.5's have something more than the No.3. That's weir, they are the same series.. :?

Use two shims it will pop up almost all the way, you might need a light tap with hammer or just pull real hard and its opens.

Here are some movies I made of me raking the Master Lock #3 they are the same movie only edited 2 times, 1st one is the full movie 2nd 1/4th of the movie for my 56kbs friends.
Reminder this is for learning as a hobby or the trade of locksmith, not of illegal actives.

i have three master lock 3's. they are a counter clockwise turning lock and your best bet is to put a firm "but not uber hard" tension on the wrench and start with the pick already in the back before you start pushing on the wrench. i use a small hook pick and that give me the best results. hope this helps!

Better put an extension on that wrench and be prepared to stand on it matey, if you want to snap those pins real good.

Master #3 is a clockwise turning lock. No "if's", 'but's" or "maybe's"!
Clockwise!!
