Yay i got a brinks but it didnt come with a package so i dont know if it has security pins in it can some one please help me find out all the stats about this lock.

Yep, that's the exact lock that gives me grief all the time. As far as I know, there are two security pins in the one I have. I believe they are both spool pins.

What makes this lock especially hard to pick for me is how hard it is to get correct tension. With the way the keyway is designed, the tension wrench usually slips down to the very bottom and becomes wedged against the hull, causing either too much tension on the plug, or too much lateral pressure, pressing the plug against the hull.

As Goon said, I would not recommend this lock to you if you are new. It is very difficult to pick, even if you manage to get the tension wrench to stay in the correct position.

You'll have a much easier time of it if you use a wrench with a super-short blade, turn the lock upsidedown and tension it from the bottom of the keyway (formerly the top - where the pins are now.) If you have a wiperblade wrench just bend the end of the handle over ~1/8" in - short enough that it doesn't rub on the first pin. That's how I pick mine anyway.
